Rite of passage

I think a rite of passage is things that are supposed to happen when you reach a certain age, such as, getting your license when you turn sixteen, or graduating high-school when you turn eighteen. pretty much things that symbolize that you are reaching a new stage in your life. License I have experienced the rite of passage of getting my permit and have the chance to get my license. I am looking forward to turning eighteen and experiencing the rite of passage of moving out.

When i die...

When I die I want people to remember me as a fun loving, adventures, bike riding, adrenalin junkie, family man. Pretty much in those exact words. I want to have accomplished a lot through out my life. I want to become a professional bike rider. And have a great family. A wife and kids. And own my own indoor skate park to make a living. And i will still ride through out all of these years.

Censorship

I think that censorship is a good thing. I think in the privacy of ones home they can do whatever they want. But out in the public and on normal cable television things should definitely be censored. Some might say if you don't like it don't look at it, but what about children. The kids are going to see these things. And yes one day they will and they will learn about it but I don't want my four year old brother and two year old cousin to be watching t.v. and accidentally flip the channel and seeing sexual content. Or be walking down the street and seeing that stuff on billboards and buses. There needs to be some level of censorship. Allot of people just say it is for art purposes but if that is the kind of art you enjoy to see or draw then put it in a place where children are not going to see it.

Parental consent on abortion.

If abortion was illegal no abortions should be done. With or without parental consent. If it is illegal it should not be done at all. But with parental consent being required allot less teenage women would have abortions because their parents would not let them. I don't see why a teenage women would have an abortion I mean look at my mom she was 16 raising my older brother and 18 raising me. She did not have any abortions and now she has six kids of her own and done very well for herself and all of us kids. In-fact allot of my friends moms were pregnant at like 16 and they are doing fine now. I think allot of teenage women would have abortions because they think it will ruin they're life. But with a parental consent required parents will not let kids have them done. If parents have to approve pretty much everything in a kids life why would this be different. This is even bigger than a tattoo or anyhting else this is taking a life so why wouldn't the parents need to be involved. Besides a teenage girl who finds out she is pregnat is obviously scared and not going to make a logcal decision. They are just going to take the quick escape and make the decision that they think is best at the time. But being that scared most teenage girls would not be in the right state of mind. But with a parental consent required the parent could stop the kid from making a big mistake that they will regret later.

Cannabis... Should it be legalized?

I don't think weed should be legal. I do think that it would raise the crime rate. I don't totally agree that it will increase the use of white drugs in some cases this is true but not all. I mean I know people who have smoked weed all of there life and never even tried other drugs, but hose people also act like children and are not mentally mature like they should be. And being mentally immature will definitely create a problem in the community. After a few years of almost everybody smoking pot we will basically have a bunch of kids running our city. That cannot be good at all. Besides when people smoke large amounts of weed they become unmotivated. So pretty much everyone would most likely not have jobs and increase crime and make things harder for those people who do work hard for what they have. Now it might not happen with every one but most people who smoke all the time loose all motivation and after a while they will not want to do much of anything but smoke weed. I have had many people in my family who struggled with drug problems and smoked weed for many many years. They are not very successful in life. My real dad smoked for many years and I'm pretty sure he still does and being mentally immature and trying to raise a child and not only one but two kids, that just doesn't work. Him being so immature made him do allot of stupid stuff, which made things bad for me, my mom and my sister. In my opinion if my dad would have never smoked weed he never would have tried all of the other drugs and he would have been mentally where he was supposed to and things would be very different. I think if more people smoked weed there would be more cases like mine. And I am sure if it was legal more people would smoke it.

Gennetically modified children

I don't think I would participate. It is a really big risk. What if something went wrong and my child was deformed because of a choice that i made. I wouldn't risk it. Besides I would want my kids to have some of my traits not something completely different.
There is no telling if something cold go wrong and mess my child up.

McKinley reflection

The thing I liked best abut our McKinley trip was how funny some of the kids were. It was really funny to see all of these kids act some of the same ways i did when i was their age. The hardest aspect of the was getting the all of the kids to listen, and being really patient even though we were crunched on time. I think it was really good for the kids because maybe they will now be interested in learning about video production. I think it was a fun learning experience for everyone involved.

What i hate...

What I really hate is the things police are more worried about. Like how they harass bike riders about riding in certain spots and are always bugging us about every little thing, when there are people sitting around at the transit with drugs and weapons. We are just trying to have fun and do something constructive. I see bikers being harassed downtown than all of the druggies or gang members. It is ridiculous. There are more important things than stopping us from riding that the police should be worried about. From what i see the police downtown are more worried about arresting bikers or writing tickets than stopping gang members and stopping people from selling and doing drugs at the transit and the park. I cant tell you how many times I have seen bikers being harassed when there are people smoking out right there in the park giving it bad name. Also right there at the transit where the police are most of the day, I can ride up and smell weed but the police are sitting there yelling at me for riding my bike on the sidewalk instead of getting these people who are right there doing illegal drugs.

What I really love is...

What I really love is, my family, and my bike. I really love my family, it is always so fun to be hanging out with them. Nothing is predictable and that is what I like. There is never a dull moment when I'm with my family. Never. I also love my bike. It is like a big stress reliever when I am riding it. It is so much fun. It is such a thrill to ride. There is no rush like clearing a big gap or landing a big trick. No adrenaline rush could be better.

Identical twins

I think that the two twins would be very different. The wealthy one would would most likely be used to getting whatever they want whenever they want it. While the poor one would be used to working for everything that they need and want. They're attitudes will most likely will be very different too. One would be more snobby (the wealthy one) and the other would be more down to earth and nice (the poor one). Their attitudes would be completely different. I think even if they were raised with the same amount of money just in different settings, they would still have different attitudes and ac different, because being in different settings and experiencing different things wold make them different weather different amounts of money were involved or not. Different experiences and problems would make their actions different along with their outlook on things and their attitude towards things. Also educaion opertunities will be different. The more wealthy one will have beter opportunities than the one who does not have as much money. So it would really set a better futer for for the wealthy one.

Valued thing in my life

A possession i value very much is my bike. It is very important to me for many reasons. I love to ride, it always helps me calm down when i am angry or stressed. It is also very fun and i am so care free when i am riding my bike. I have also put a lot of money into it. One person i value a lot is my older brother. We are really close and he is always there for me when i need someone. He is definitely my best-friend and very important to me. An idea i value very much is the idea to make abortion illegal. I think it is wrong and no one should have it done.
